As of 2019, I am a senior researcher at Microsoft Research Cambridge in the Health Intelligence group. I work on machine learning for healthcare, with a focus on electronic health records, hospital care, and physiological time series. I'm also interested in privacy, stochastic processes, and deep learning in general. You can see more about my research on the research page.
In 2018 I received a PhD in Computational Biology and Medicine from the Tri-Institutional PhD Program of Cornell University. During my PhD I was situated at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC, and later ETH Zürich. Prior to that, I studied theoretical physics at Trinity College Dublin, and applied mathematics (Part III) at the University of Cambridge.
I am originally from Dublin, Ireland. I am interested in lots of things outside of research, but this isn't the page for that.
